Australia Team is Now in Dhaka to Play T20 Series

The Australian cricket team has finally reached the capital Dhaka, putting an end to all speculations. The Aussies landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:11 pm on Thursday (July 29).

The Australian cricket team has come to Bangladesh to play without the eight top stars, including regular captain Aaron Finch, who could not come at the last minute due to injury. As it is known, the Aussie team does not have seven top stars Steven Smith, David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stones, Xie Richardson, and Kane Richardson.

Needless to say, after playing a two-match Test series (1-1 draw) in September 2016, Australia did not visit Bangladesh again. The first three days after arriving in Dhaka, they will be in quarantine at Hotel Intercontinental following the Corona protocol. On August 1, Team Australia will leave the hotel for the first time to practice in Sher-e-Bangla. The T20 series will start on August 3.

The second T20 match is on August 4 after August 3. August 5 break. After that, two matches will be held on August 6 and 7. The last match will be held on August 9 with a break on August 8.

Meanwhile, reliable BCB sources said that media personnel had gathered at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to cover the moment of the landing of the Australian cricketers; But before they knew it, the team bus carrying the Australian cricketers exited through gate number 6 of the airport.

As mentioned earlier, Australians do not want the physical presence of the public when crossing immigration at the airport. It is learned that Aussie cricketers have been given immigration under special arrangements. In a short time, the team got on the bus and the bus quickly left for the Dhaka Intercontinental Hotel.

So far, Cricket Australia has not announced the name of the new captain for the Bangladesh tour. It is learned that after reaching Dhaka, they will announce the name of the captain in the series against Bangladesh.
