New Zealand is Going to Pakistan to Play After 17 Years

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is slowly gaining ground in its mission to bring cricket back to its homeland. The New Zealand cricket team has agreed to tour Pakistan after 17 years. The Kiwis last played cricket in Pakistan in November 2003. After waiting for almost a decade and a half, Pakistan will finally host New Zealand in three ODIs and five T20I matches. All ODIs and T20 matches will be played in Lahore. The full schedule of the series has also been announced.

Pakistan has been away from international cricket for a long time since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009. However, the situation is changing in recent times. Countries like Bangladesh, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka have played in Pakistan. Besides, PSLO (Pakistan Super League) is now organized in Pakistan.

However, the Indian Premier League could be a major obstacle in Pakistan's upcoming series against the Kiwis. Because the rest of the IPL will start from September 19. Where regular faces are Kane Williamson, Trent Bolt, Kyle Jamieson. So they have to decide between IPL or Pakistan tour.

Schedule for New Zealand tour of Pakistan

The first ODI - September 17

Second ODI - September 19

Third ODI - September 21

The first T20 - September 25

Second T20 - September 26

Third T20 - September 29
